I'm not sure how to use the controls on Canopy.

I tried to shut off my canopy but since it’s dark in the room it sits in it seems to auto turn on even though I’ve turned it off. Is this supposed to happen? Also it seems to also get louder when it’s darker in the room, is this apart of the normal function as well?

I just received my Canopy and I'm having the same issue. I turn it off but later it turns itself on again. I understand that you designed the system to run all the time, but I don't want it to and I don't want to have to unplug the unit every day. Is this how it is supposed to function?

The only way that I can get my Canopy to turn off completely is to unplug it. No one wants their humidifier to run constantly. How do I turn it off and keep it off without unplugging it?

I tried unplugging it every day for a few weeks, leaving it half-full with water, but I started to notice it was emitting an unpleasant musty smell from the filter. I think part of the "design" is that the filter has to get totally dried out between uses. I now fill the tank up to less than half-full every night, which means it usually only runs for an hour or so in the day before it finally stops. I'm not impressed with the fake off button or lack of upfront communication on how this expensive humidifier actually works, but this plan of attack is working for me for now.

So the only work around I’ve found is having a smart plug to the outlet on the wall which is synced up my Amazon devices. This way I just say a command to turn off the canopy without having to constantly unplugging and plugging back in.

Having the same issue as others. There has to be a way to turn this thing off and have it stay off. Can someone from Canopy please explain this?

Same issue here. I think I turn it off and then I hear it kick back on randomly. And there is no water in it so can’t be good for machine, right? Please someone from canopy help with issue.

I have the same problem. The water only lasts about half a day because the humidifier turns off for only a short time and then goes back on automatically. So last night it was running with no water in it, is that bad? Can someone better explain the settings/purposes of each so we know how to better understand and utilize the machine?

Anyone else having trouble getting the filter light to turn off? I’ve tried every possible combination of strategies (unplugging it, then holding the button down; holding it down while off; while on; etc….), and nothing has worked. I actually reached out to Canopy about this last month, and they sent me a replacement machine (I returned the original one), but the same issue is occurring now.
